A Gesture of Solidarity: Monvic for the Shree Pattale School in Nepal
There are projects that leave a mark, that make us feel small in the face of their incredible achievements, and remind us how even the smallest contribution can make a difference. One such project is “Sdraiato in Cima al Mondo: A School for Nepal”, dedicated to mountaineer and skier Cala Cimenti, who tragically passed away in 2021.
Monvic is proud to have participated in this initiative, donating its colorful sweatshirts to the children of the Shree Pattale primary school, recently inaugurated in one of the most remote and fascinating areas of the lower Everest valley, Nepal.
A Unique Story of Solidarity
“Sdraiato in Cima al Mondo” is not just the title of Cala Cimenti’s book but also the name of the project launched by his wife, Erika Siffredi, and his closest friends.
The goal was both simple and ambitious: to complete the reconstruction of the Shree Pattale primary school, equipping it with modern, earthquake-resistant facilities, including a library and a multimedia room.
This school, together with the Necha Gahri school, represents a beacon of hope for the local community’s children in an area that does not benefit from international aid or tourism circuits.
Erika recounts:
“The school is here, the children are here, and now, finally, so are we. It was an unforgettable day, full of emotions, dancing, and smiles.”
The Inauguration of the Shree Pattale School
After 12 hours of travel through dirt roads and breathtaking scenery, the volunteers arrived at the Shree Pattale school. They were greeted by the children of the community with their traditional “Namastè” and flower garlands, ready to celebrate the school’s inauguration together.
Dressed in traditional attire, the children danced and smiled, gifting everyone moments of genuine joy. The day concluded with the distribution of Monvic sweatshirts, specially made for the children with a design that celebrates the mountains and their smiles.
A Special Thanks to Erika and All the Volunteers
As Erika recalls: ``The children welcomed us with excitement and smiles. I will never forget those moments of joy, lightness, and pure happiness.``
And a special thought goes to Cala Cimenti, who continues to inspire projects of beauty and humanity like this one.
Monvic’s Contribution
Monvic is proud to have contributed to this project with a small gesture: donating colorful and comfortable sweatshirts to the children of the school. The design was specifically created for them, celebrating the beauty of the mountains and the joy of childhood.
These sweatshirts, crafted with care and love, are a symbol of solidarity, warmth, and hope.
A heartfelt thanks goes to all Monvic customers who supported this initiative, making this donation possible and demonstrating that together, we can make a difference.
